The ezCater Slack app helps your organization manage Relish meal programs directly within Slack, making meal ordering and updates seamless without leaving your everyday workflow. With this recent launch, Relish customers can now view schedules, get order reminders, receive delivery updates, reorder favorite meals, and more—all in Slack.

How to Connect ezCater to Slack

  1. Admins log in to the ezCater Admin Dashboard.

  2. Go to the Integrations section and find Slack.

  3. Click “Connect to Slack” and follow the on-screen instructions to authorize the app.

  4. Choose the appropriate Slack workspace and channels for notifications.

  5. Complete setup—your team will start getting ezCater updates in Slack!

How Do Notifications Work?

Once connected:

  • All team members receive order confirmations, reminders, and delivery alerts in the designated Slack channel.

  • Employees can see their scheduled, upcoming meals.

Limitations

Currently, placing new orders directly from Slack is not supported. However, our reorder feature allows you to order past meals through Slack. We look forward to expanding Slack ordering capabilities in future releases.

FAQs

Do I need special permissions to use the Slack app?

To install the Slack app, you must be either a Slack workspace admin or an ezCater account admin. The permissions required refer to the ability to authorize the app to access your Slack environment. During installation, admins must review and approve the app’s requested permission scopes. Other users like employees within your organization do not require special permissions once the app is installed by IT & your Relish admin.

Can I place an order directly from Slack?

You can place an order directly from Slack; however, at this time, this feature is only available for reordering items you’ve ordered previously.

How do I opt out or adjust notifications?

Go to the Home tab of your ezCater Slack app and configure notification preferences.

Are all ezCater orders available in Slack?

No, this integration only supports Relish at this time. This does not include the Marketplace where we offer tray style catering and individually packaged meals for team meetings and events.

How do I get set up?
